I first met Karla a decade ago , and it’s fair to say she was already a formidable presence at the club, but as the years went  by, my admiration and affection grew .  No Nonsense and putting in all the hard yards, she was still the kindest,fairest and most appreciative person . Also, when off duty ( as it were), the most fun loving .  I was even able to ask her about her constant dissatisfaction with her own game:  “ why are we stuck with the only Brazilian on this planet that cannot relax ? “.  She took it in good part ..... I think
