Karla was a family person who had experienced some family sadness in her life. She was also an excellent teacher, patient and understanding.

She was always friendly, thoughtful and caring,  especially to me when my daughter died.   I enjoyed trying out my Portuguese and talking about Brazil and the fun I had working in Rio.   I can see her face now with a big smile after she had just returned from visiting her family and how warm the weather was and how she wished she could stay longer.

She was firm rock of our tennis club. A truely superb player, who knew most members and held the Committee together for many many years.

I will miss Karla so much. 

May she rest in peace knowing she was truly admired and loved.
